Big Storm 5/15/2010

Today i had a long time customer of mine George and his good buddy. Left the dock about 6:30 and made one anchor and caught 2 trout and then had to hall butt back to the dock because of a huge squall that came in about 7:30am. We went and had breakfast and came back to the dock aroud 1pm and boy did we catch some nice trout. Most of the trout were between 18in and 24in,just a good box of trout. See you tomm. George

This morning i took out James and 2 of hi s buddies and boy did we smoke them. We fished right around Rockport and were in buy 12:30 with 26 trout nice job guys

This morning i took out Barry and two of his employes wadefishing in the Lagoon. Our first two wades were pretty slow only picking up about 3 speckel Trout. Then we moved on down the beach and started to nickel and dime, and ended up catching 22trout,still a great day on the water. See you in june Barry

MORE WIND. Today i had some customers from 1st Comm Bank . We left about 7:30am and back around 10:30am Today when we left the dock it was blowing 40 mph and we just went around the corner to fish. We ended up catching 3reds and 1trout in that short period of time. Just be happy to catch anything in that wind. See you all next wednesday

This morning i took out Yolonda and her husband,daughter and boyfriend. We have had a low over sitting over us all week long so the winds have been gusting up to 50 mph and that means no trout fishing this week, until saturday Winds are supposed to let up friday night. Trout In the Lagoon 5/9/2010

This morning i had John and his two sons from San Antonio. I ended up picking them up at Port Royal in Port Aransas. So we headed to the Lagoon south of Corpus Christi. First fish we hooked up was a 27 in a half trout that was gut hooked so we had to keep it.We also caught a 26 incher that we released. Ended up catching 22 keeper trout today, and alot of solid fish

Babes on the Bay this year had 1050 women in it and roughly 345boat on the water. For the 5th year in a row i took my wife and her sister Peggy,Sara,and Jennifer.Good year for us we ended up catching about 25Trout and 2Redfish. Wind 5/7/2010

Today the winds picked and made it alot harder. Had James and 3 of his friend and we fished until 2:30,at 1 pm we had 5 fish in the box,and persistence paid off at the end buy putting 9 trout in the box on my last anchor and running out of bait. Winds perdict alot on what i do and it makes it very hard when it blowing 25 to 30 mph. see you next friday

This morning i took out Tommy and friends from Corpus Christi. Great morning of Trout fishing. Light southeast winds, ideal for Trout fishing. Everywhere we stopped we had 4 to 5 fish on. We ended up catching 30 trout up to the 24 range. GOOD DAY THANKS

Today i took out John and his wife of H-town. We left the dock about 6:15 in the morning and made only 2 anchors. We had our limit of 20 Trout about 9 am and went looking for some Redfish. But not much luck with the reds. See you soon John

This morning i took out Andrew and his wife and friends. We started out fishing Matagorda shoreline and it was pretty slow. The wind got dead calm about 10 in the morning so we went to San Antonio Bay and put live shrimp under a popping cork. We managed to scratch out 10 Black Drum up to 28 inches long and 3 Redfish.GOOD DAY AND LOTS OF FUN, see you next time

Today i had 2 old high school buddies and boy was it tough today. High pressure set in after the northern that we had saturday early morning. We managed to only catch a couple of Drum today. This morning i had a good custumer and old friend that has fished with since i started 15 years ago. He bought his son,grandson,and daughter in-law. Great day. We fished the Matagorda Shoreline all day with the north wind and managed to scratch out 8 nice Black Drum and 7 keeper Redfish, with alot of undersize fish. You did alot better this time Robert. This morning i had David Bell from Austin TX, and boy was it windy today. It was blowing 30 mph gust to 40 out of the east. We still managed to catch 10 Black Drum,all pretty good size. All in all we had a great time, see you in May during croaker season

I have been out of the fishing business for about a week now. My wife and i had a beutiful baby girl on friday April 2 at 10:29 am. This morning i took out John and Ilda Shibe of Fredrickberg Tx,very nice couple. We found the school of Black Drum that i have been catching for the last three weeks right away. Conditions were dead calm and crystal clear water, usually this spells diaster,good thing that there is about 500 drum in the school. Yesterday and this morning i had an old friend and customer Robert M from New braunfels TX . We had to great days of fishing. The first day we had 10 Black Drum and 2 Redfish.
